Frantisek Vanicek graduated from Pardubice´s Conservatoire and Prague´s Academy of Arts, and furthered his musical studies at the Utrecht Academy of Art. In 1991, he won the second prize in the A. Schweitzer´s International Organ Competition in Deventer, Holland, and went on to clinch the prestigious Premier prix from the Czech Musical Fund in the same year.
To date, Frantisek Vanicek has performed more than 500 organ recitals all over the world, in countries such as Japan, the USA, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France, Poland and Denmark. He currently teaches the organ at the Hradec Králové University
