David Hirst was an Organ Scholar of the Emmanuel College, Cambridge, and he also gained distinction in his post-graduate studies in organ performance at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He has performed in numerous locations around the world, including the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland and South Africa. He has played extensively for recordings and on concert tours, and he is broadcasted frequently on the BBC.
